What Is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a non-invasive holistic therapy which works on the feet to help heal the whole person, not just prevailing symptoms.
There are points on the feet reflecting all areas of the body. These reflexes are worked through massage and restore the body’s natural balance by releasing toxins and blockages that impede energy flow.
Illness is often stress related. The relaxing effects of reflexology are therefore of great benefit in restoring and maintaining good health.
A reflexologist uses hands only to apply pressure to the feet. For each person the application and the effect of the therapy is unique.
Reflexology massage can also be applied to hands.
Reflexology is a complementary therapy. A reflexologist does not diagnose medical conditions.
What Are the Benefits?
The body has the ability to heal itself. Imbalances in our bodies can be influenced by injury, stress, disease or illness. Imbalances block vital energy pathways; blockages prevent the body from functioning effectively.
Reflexology can be used to facilitate healing and restore and maintain the body’s natural equilibrium. Reflexology treats the whole person, not just symptoms of imbalance.
Reflexology may be effective for:
- Improving circulation and nerve function
- Enhancing lymph drainage to eliminate waste and toxins
- Strengthening the immune system
- Reducing stress levels and promoting relaxation
How Can Reflexology Help?
Conditions that may be helped by reflexology include:
- Digestive problems
- Stress
- Back pain
- Arthritis
- IBS symptoms
- Insomnia
- Menstrual problems
And many more
Reflexology is an excellent therapy for maintaining good health.
